It's a healthy gathering of communications professionals from various companies and entities all over the country. My speaking session isn't until tomorrow so I've had time to chat with some of the attendees. So far, I've had some very interesting conversations with communicators who were interested in digital signage but were rejected by their IT departments. Surprised?

They were extremely interested in our cellular digital signage because it gives them a chance to install LCDs for employee communications without needing to involve their IT department. This has been a common barrier for communicators since the dawn of time. . . the stubborn IT department. But since you can now use the existing and powerful cellular networks to deliver messages to your screens, IT saying "No!" can be a thing of the past.

One interesting note is that everyone is having cell phone issues. . . no bars in some areas in the hotel. But our MediaTile signage is running along perfectly, thanks to the embedded amplifiers.

I'll report more periodically as the conference continues on. If you're on Twitter and are interested in following the comments of attendees, you can use the hash tag #ccc09.
