Reason #4: LAN
Kind of the oldest "trick" in the book for digital signage networks. If the network is available, we can simply hook it up the local network. Plug in the ethernet cable and away you go. Even with cellular and Wi-Fi available, many network operators like that their signage network is hard-wired in.
But for many companies, they are concerned about security with hooking up other PCs on their network. And that's understandable and appreciated. This is why we work directly with IT departments to make sure they understand how our digital signage technology works and so that we understand their network requirements.
All our hardware needs is an Internet connection out directly to MediaTile's servers. We harden our players and eliminate any other communication coming or going across the network.
