As part of this blog, I wanted to provide a venue for MediaTile customers to speak about our digital signage solution. Here is our first installment of the Voice of the Customer series.
Fineline Printing Group is a full-service printing company in Indianapolis, IN, with 75 employees. They sought out MediaTile's solution to not only improve their employee communications but to also enhance communication to customers visiting their 57,000 square foot facility. Fineline is using two 47" Digital Signs in a Box with Wi-Fi, powered by Mediacast.

The screens have definitely improved our ability to communicate with employees all over the plant. Before installing the signage, our main method of communication was emails, but not everyone in the plant has an email address. We had to print the emails and leave them in the lunch room, but they were not eye catching and frequently information in those emails was not properly digested by the staff. The screens are bright, colorful, large, and a great presence in the break room, so employees are much more willing to read a flash across the bright screen than they are a dull piece of printer paper.
We put employee news and fun things on the break room screens. For example, we place birthday messages, congratulations, and well wishes on the screens. It's helped really bond employees in a new way, and you can frequently overhear employees saying happy birthday because they saw the notice on the screen.
Our customers have also taken notice to the screen and appreciate that we place a welcome sign on for them when they arrive. The ability to schedule welcome screens well in advance has been very helpful and has reduced a lot of the effort we used to place into printing brand new signs for each visitor. We've saved on time and printing costs, and the result is much more impressive than our previous display.
