I'm a sucker for 80s radio stations. So on my drive to Cincinnati, "Words" by Missing Persons came on. It had been a while since I'd heard the song and probably never really payed that close attention to the lyrics. But I heard this:

It's as if Missing Person's lead singer Dale Bozzie had a career in internal communications. How many times have you felt like your "lips are moving and the sound's coming out" but nobody's listening?
This is the constant challenge in corporate communication. We're constantly creating noise that often times nobody is paying attention to. It's hard to admit but it's true. This is why you can't just inform anymore. You have to take a stab at entertaining.
