This is MediaTile's first attempt at blogging. And like all other new blogs, we certainly hope our efforts help you in your digital signage quest.
There are quite a few digital signage resources out in the marketplace, including many blogs and directories. Many of them we may highlight right here, but none of them (at least that I'm aware of) focus on the use of digital signage for corporate communications. I found this out back when I was conducting my own digital signage research before I was even a MediaTile customer.
Communicators like myself spend years working in employee communications trying to come up with clever and creative ways to successfully deliver internal communications messages. The fact is that many companies, large and small, utilize the same combination of tools, intranets and newsletters just to name a few.
What's great about digital signage is that it combines the strength of both tools. With intranets, you've got the ability to deliver updated information with the strokes of a few keys. Same with digital signage. With a newsletter, you can provide depth to messages, especially to those employees who can't access other electronic communication. Digital signage fills this need, too.
The right combination of digital signage hardware and software with your content bridges the gap.
